Hey Folks, join the Kira Callahan Duo at COMMENSAL - one of Toronto's finest vegetarian restaurants - for an evening of jazz. We'll be playing and singing classics by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and more. Dig into a delicious meal and enjoy the tunes. Music from 6:30 - 9:30pm. The KIRA CALLAHAN DUO makes it's first performance at the Old Mill Inn's cozy Home Smith Bar this night. If you haven't been here, it's a real treat. Beautiful field stone floors and walls, part of the original mill structure, make a rustic and elegant backdrop for the music. Come and sip from their extensive selection of world-class wine and spirits while you enjoy a night of jazz. I'll be singing the best classic jazz, latin and blues along with my musical partner in crime - the fabulous Mr. Mark Kieswetter on...wait for it...the keys! Join the KIRA CALLAHAN DUO once again at COMMENSAL, Toronto's purveyor of vegetarian delights. We're making music from 6:30 - 9:30pm. By the way, I like to express thanks after songs...in as many languages as I can. I really only speak english and conversational french, but I'm collecting international thankyous! I've got at least 10 now. So if you're an interesting hybrid of anglo and something else, please add your flavour to the evening. Let me know how you say thank you in your language, and don't be shy about correcting my pronunciation! We're looking forward to sharing great food and great music with you. COMMENSAL is downtown Toronto on Elm Street, between Yonge and Bay. There's some street parking, an underground lot, and of course the TTC is only two blocks away. See you soon!
